No doubt, Tecno has recently enjoyed a successful run in Nigeria and Africa smartphone market at large, Tecno Phantom A3 is the latest addition to Tecno Andriod powered machines :).It was officially unveiled on Monday 25th November in Lagos, joining its predecessors the Phantom A (F7), the popular Phantom A+ and Phantom A2 (F8) released July, August, October 2013 respectively.
Tecno Phantom A3 is an upgraded version of Phantom A2, it comes with a sleeker body than that of its predecessor and a bigger 6.0″ Capacitive (IPS) Touchscreen, Dual SIM enabled and accommodates a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 16GB ROM, 1GB RAM which allows it to run on Android OS 4.2 JellyBean smoothly. No upgrade was made to the camera as Phantom A3 comes with 13MP rear camera with flash technology and 8MP secondary camera.
Just like other Tecno Series, Phantom A3 comes preloaded with some cool apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Palmchat and even BBM. Users can latter download other apps through google playstore. Etisalat Nigeria is giving out 500MB monthly data plan for 12 months if you buy a Phantom A3 from them. The phone is due to be available in the Market latter this month and will be priced around #50,000.

My take: If you own a Tecno Phantom A2 there is no point going for Phantom A3 as their features are almost thesame. What’s your take on this?

I will prefer u go for r7. Cus it features on higher prosesor spread of 8cores instars of 4cores 1.5ghz of techno a3. Tecno r7 has higher pixel density of 296 while a3 is a little less. R7 is 2gig ram while a3 is ¹gig ram. From dis comparism its clear that d r7 is faster, can take more application download,d display is sharper.

Tecno R7 is a nice phone to use, its smarter and faster than its predecessor. Its the best Tecno phone in town at the moment.

When it comes to overall specification, Tecno A3 beats Tecno N9. But in terms of physical appearance Tecno A3 has 6″ screen while Tecno n9 has 8″, this makes Tecno N9 a tablet (i prefer something small though). The summary of it all, I’ll prefer a Tecno A3 anyday.
BTW Tecno N9 has a higher battery capacity 4,500mAh
Please help me compare this phone TECNO Phantom A3 , with Blackberry Z30.. the BB is a lot costlier but I like to know if TECNO will satisfy my needs.. e.g picture quality (some pple have said the 8MP in BB Z30 is far far better than the 13MP in TECNO)..

Both phones are 2 different phones entirely , Z30 is a premium and sophisticated phone, as regards camera, most times the technology behind d camera determines d quality, this can be seen in HTC One (4MP)….also JAVA shouldn’t be an issue since we have lots of Android apps that can replace most of our beloved java apps/games in the store.
Right now, u can install android apps/games on Blackberry 10 devices. I think Thats another good news.
So, Choosing between the 2 phones depends on your budget but I’l prefer a Z30 any day 😀
BTW: although there are emulators that let’s u run jar on android but Running jar apps on android isn’t worth d stress. The difference in app quality and capability is just too wide.
