I have a problem with my tecno R7 when Internet is on i can’t look into my phone book when i did factory settings it was ok for a day or so now when the Internet is on there are some pop up that come on the screen until you remove them than you can excess your phone book. Hello Shuwayb, the reason why your phone lost signal when set to 3G is most likely because your network provider doesn’t have a 3G coverage in that area.

I wanted to buy this R7, just to be told that’s its too big and the screen breakes easily and ones it does it would stop tourching until u change it. Pls is all these true.
Tecno R7 has a 5.5″ screen which makes it handful but whether tz too big or not depends on u! Also, no smartphone has a break proof screen, u jst av to be careful not to allow it fall.

Though, I don’t know how you used your phones but I bet you, you don’t used phone more than I do… Am among those that condemned tecno as the restored glory of China phone.. But ever since I started using tecno.. R7,I can’t tell you any problem about the phone. The battery is hundred percent nice.. The camera is wow… It could be possible that there are fake ones in the market as well.. I bought mine 55000 naira and still enjoying it well. If not for my carelessness that make the phone to dash on the floor from the third day of purchase. So please try and get a good one… You will enjoy it. Am a living testimony…. Juding

Is thr anybody who has had issues with using large size micro sd card, 16gb and above on his R7. The cards I got do not retain data, the last one was a sandisk 32gb( class 4). I still think its the memory cards that are bad, but will like know if there are different views.
Based on my experience, i think the memory card is faulty. Moreover, i wouldnt advise you to use as large as 32GB. 16GB aint too bad i guess 🙂

Tecno smartphones and phablets are nice products but most times the reviews done here seem to be biased. Currently I am using Tecno A7, the ultimate speed machine called phantom Z. Previously, I used the Phantom A3 which is the M9 model. Most of my friends who copy from me depend on reviews here to trend along as the cost of Tecno smartphones and phablets are not one naira. They need advice and reviews from first hand users to obtain guarantee about these products and evaluate the pros and cons. The Phantom A3 as long as I am concerned have astonishing features but has a serious bug, one no customer of tecno’s will like to experience. Looking at its specs, I was proud with the M9 when I had it, but the bug issue was inevitable and it dampened my pride and all my peers that envied it fled for other substitutes. The worst of it was that the phablet did not last more than 3months before this bug – sensor and touchscreen – showed up. I wish Tecno would do something to restore confidence at no cost to its numerous customers who purchased the M9. The specs are good, but the hardware isn’t good enough. The Phantom Z is a good smartphone, but I currently have it undergoing numerous tests such as actual battery capacity under varying conditions such as 3G only limited service area, 2G only limited service area, actual screen resolutions as it currently appears that it’s Samsung counterparts have a better resolution. Other tests include vigorous usage reliability and gorilla glass claims, processor clock speed, etc., as these tests should be completed before a detailed review should be made. The blog contributors should restrict themselves to publishing the company claimed features until these beautiful and designed-to-be-tough and superb treasures are verified for consumers locally.

my previous tecno D7(2500MAh). A phone with 6 core processors, and other amazing features should have atleast 3000MAh to support them. I charge it often because of its 2430MAh (too low).

Please Confirm if there is MTN 3G Network coverage in your area, you can get a friend’s phone and set it 3G and see if the network comes up. Let me know the outcome.
