How to Enable GodMode on Windows 10

Microsoft made sure the world noticed the launch of Windows 10 OS and by promising free upgrade, in less than a week after releasing it, the company recorded millions of devices running the new OS. This puts its goal of having around 1 billion devices running the universal OS in three to five years time in line.

Talking about the free upgrade, only Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are eligible. Members of the Windows Insider Program also fall under the free upgrade eligibility party and they have the bragging right of receiving the updates first.

Users running other versions or pirated versions would have to purchase either Windows 10 Home ($99.99) or Windows 10 Pro ($199.99) and if you are thinking of making a Clean Install, click here to read this piece I wrote on NaijaTechMode.

We are not here to wax lyrical about the achievements and features of Windows 10. Rather we are more particular about a hidden feature on Windows 10, which lets you have access to everything controlling your device (Desktops and Laptops). This feature is nicknamed GodMode.

How to Enable GodMode on Windows 10

So basically GodMode lets you take total control of everything controlling your device. To enable GodMode on Windows 10, go to your desktop, right click on it and locate the option to create a ‘new folder’.

Rename the folder with this extension GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and watch the icon change to GodMode. By double clicking on it, you get access to over 250+ tools and functions such as Windows Mobility Center, Windows Defender, User Accounts and some others you were never aware of.

Still haven’t made the upgrade to Windows 10? Don’t worry, enabling GodMode is not exclusive to Windows 10. Previous iteration of Windows like Windows 7, 8 , 8.1 and Vista also use the same extension to access root files.

Now that you are about enabling GodMode on Windows 10, are you feeling Omnipotent yet?
