Greetings, I know this post is old but I have a Verizon S4 mini & I’d really like to update it to kit kat & I’m wondering is there any way that this can be done from the phone only? Or do I have to use a laptop/pc to do so? Thanks.

    • Updates can be done on phone but most times you’ll be required to connect to a wifi network for update to work

Thanks! This worked! I’ve been dying to get my S4 Mini to KitKat but Samsung Kies wouldn’t update me for some reason.

I didn’t have to enable USB Debugging Mode (I accidentally left that setting off, and it worked anyway).

Also, your banner at the top says ‘Dairy’ instead of ‘Diary’.

    • Glad it worked for u..I faced similar isuue, had to update manually..

BTW, thanks for the observation. Will make necessary changes. 🙂
